Born 1979, Oshawa, Ontario.

Bonnie King first studied at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut, where she received a strong foundation in representational painting. She went on to attend the Ontario College of Art and Design, where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Drawing and Painting in 2002.

Bonnie has shown at various galleries in Toronto, with works available at Galerie Sandra Goldie in Montreal. She is the recipient of awards including the Marie Collins Memorial Award (2002) and Best in Category - Painting (2005) at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, and the Women's Art Association Scholarship (OCAD, 2000).

In addition to painting, Bonnie has an interest in and aptitude for technology, which led to a career in IT shortly after graduation. She has re-established a much-needed balance between painting and IT after leaving tech company Google in 2007.

Bonnie lives with her husband Ben (also a painter) in Chicago.
